Our mission is to provide exceptional, compassionate, comprehensive internal medicine heathcare. We cherish long lasting relationships built on trust and integrity. We put action to our mission statement by working hard to earn and nurture your trust.

Our goal is to help each patient to discover his or her own personalized path to health and wellness. We believe that application of evidence-based medicine, both alternative and conventional, can enrich our lives by empowering us all to live longer, healthier lives than ever before.

We specialize in the detailed Healthcare of adult patients age 12 years and older. As Internists, we treat a wide variety of diseases and provide excellent health screening services. We believe in the practice of prevention as well, and encourage our patients to adopt healthy lifestyles.

Our Providers   

Ira C. Robinson, II, M.D.

Ira C. Robinson, II, M.D.Dr. Robinson grew up in Washington, D.C. He received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. He then worked for five years as a registered pharmacist in Tampa, Florida before entering Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Robinson completed his internship at Grady memorial Hospital and his residency training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georga. He is currently on staff at Henry and Southern Regional Medical Centers.

Dr. Robinson has a passion for empowering people everywhere with the knowledge and insights necessary to live long, healthy lives. "I believe that application of evidence-based medicine, both alternative and conventional, can enrich our lives by empowering us all to live longer, healthier lives than ever before."

Outside the office he loves spending time with his lovely wife, Karen, and children, Ira and Kira. He and his wife are actively involved at World Changers Church International with a special focus on marriage ministry. Dr. Robinson also enjoys playing golf in his spare time.

Carol Johnson, FNP

Carol Johnson is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed by the state of Georgia to provide family-centered healthcare. She was raised in southeastern Pennsylvania and obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2008 and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2011 from Gordon State College. In 2012, Carol pursued her Masters Science in Nursing Degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Walden University in 2014.

Prior to joining Med-South Primary Care, Carol began her career in health care as a certified medical assistant and as a registered nurse specializing in cardiovascular disease and served as a physician extender at Southern Regional Medical Center. Since that time, she has accumulated nearly 17 years of clinical experience in various areas of patient care. This experience contributes to Carol’s critical thinking skills and ability to manage patients with several complex medical conditions. Carol is dedicated to primary prevention and management of chronic diseases in order to prevent further compromise in the quality of health. She seeks to serve patients throughout the lifespan based upon the teachings of Christ. “So, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12).

Carol is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia.

Outside of the office, Carol enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys beach vacationing in Jamaica.
